Ms. Conforti describes her practice as client-driven and acknowledges the involvement of issues regarding children necessitate a high level of sensitivity and close working relationships with clients. “I am helping people who are at their most vulnerable,” she says. Her expertise as a family law attorney includes high-asset, complex family law matters concerning property division, child and spousal support, breaches of fiduciary duty, and attorney’s fees. Always striving for fairness and preserving the marital estate, she works with clients of diverse backgrounds and socio-economic status.
She brings to Higgs a substantial background in criminal litigation covering state, federal, and juvenile courts spanning both criminal prosecution and defense.
Ms. Conforti has been nominated for both the Young Attorneys 2011 for the San Diego Daily Transcript and Outstanding Young Attorneys 2011 for UT San Diego.
With community engagement a priority to Ms. Conforti, she maintains active involvement in a number of organizations. In 2008, she teamed up with San Diego High School L.E.A.D.S. and established the “Peer Court Program,” a peer mediation group dedicated to resolving conflict among students, their peers, and faculty. She is currently serving as a Board of Director for California Western’s Alumni Association and is an active member of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, San Diego Family Law Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She has been nominated for both the Young Attorneys 2011 for the Daily Transcript and Outstanding Young Attorneys 2011 for UT San Diego.
