Meet Peter Doody
My specialty is jury trials. The types of cases that I work on and have represented clients had trial involved, transportation companies, product manufacturers, and premises liability cases, as well as a fair amount of business litigation cases. We believe that the clients have come to us, appreciate that extra effort that we make trying to get to know them. And we have established clients we have been working for years and years and years. And we also have new clients. But when we do get a new client in, we definitely make that special effort to get to know them, understand their business and their claims philosophy, and then move forward from there.
Use of Independent Contractors as Drivers for Trucking Companies
My name is Peter Doody and we represent trucking companies. Many motor carriers elect to use independent contractors as drivers. If not done correctly, the use of independent contractors can lead to litigation problems down the road, including misclassification lawsuits. We have been successful in assisting our clients in steering clear of potential legal problems when using independent contractors.
If you are a large or small trucking company and need assistance with regard to using independent contractors as drivers, we will be happy to speak with you.
