A 2010 graduate of Cal Western School of Law, Ms. Briskin has several years of substantive legal experience in the San Diego area including all aspects of estate planning, trust administration, uncontested conservatorship, guardianship, and probate matters, in addition to a range of contested and court-appointed cases. In addition to her breadth of legal experience, she earned a myriad of academic honors and accolades while in law school, including Dean’s List, the Academic Achievement Award in Environmental Law (highest grade in class), the State Bar of California Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services, and membership in the Public Service Honors Society and Pro Bono Honors Society.
Prior to joining Higgs Fletcher & Mack, Ms. Briskin was an associate attorney with a local trusts and estates firm , where she advised her clients, professional and non-professional fiduciaries, in a variety of matters from initial consultation through completion. Ms. Briskin has successfully settled contested matters through the Superior Court’s Mandatory Settlement Conference Program, Thomas Jefferson School of Law’s Probate Mediation Program, and through private mediation. Outside of court, Ms. Briskin finds great satisfaction in counseling her estate planning and trust administration clients while establishing a trusting and ongoing relationship with them.
Ms. Briskin is also dedicated to serving as a court-appointed attorney and is a member of the Probate Attorneys of San Diego Probate Handbook Committee, which is responsible for compiling a user-friendly resource on probate-related issues for self-represented litigants and new attorneys.
