– San Diego’s oldest law firm secures Metropolitan Tier 1 rankings in eight practice areas –

SAN DIEGO – November 8, 2016 – Higgs Fletcher & Mack, a San Diego-based, full-service law firm for over 75 years, announced it secured record-breaking “Best Law Firms” rankings by U.S. News – Best Lawyers for 2017.

The firm achieved Tier 1 rankings for its metropolitan area in eight practice areas.

The Tier 1 rankings were in the Appellate Practice, Commercial Litigation, Immigration Law, Insurance Law, Litigation – Tax, Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants, Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants and Product Liability Litigation – Defendants practice areas. Additionally, Higgs received Tier 2 rankings in six other practice areas covering Arbitration, Employment Law – Individuals, Family Law, Health Care Law, Mediation and Tax Law.

The rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process. To be eligible for a ranking in a particular practice area and metro region, a law firm must have at least one lawyer who is included in Best Lawyers in that particular practice area and metro.
