Partners Steven Cologne, Christine De Santis, Peter Doody, Mitchell Dubick, Susan Hack, Daniel Herbert, William Low, John Morris, James Peterson, Paul Pfingst, Phillip Samouris, Richard Shaw and Donald Sheppard were all named to the “Super Lawyers” list for 2019, a service of Thompson Reuters. Recently deceased HFM Partner Craig Higgs and Of Counsel attorney Douglas Butz were also named to the list. In addition, Partner Edwin Boniske and attorneys Jacob T. Spaid, Joshua Katz, Rachel Moffitt, Kyle Nageotte, Maggie Schroedter and Geoffrey Thorne were named “Rising Stars” for 2019.

“Higgs Fletcher & Mack prides itself on bringing together some of San Diego’s best and brightest attorneys, and we are proud to see so many of our attorneys honored,” said Steve Cologne, the Firm’s Managing Partner and a Super Lawyer.

“The work that each of the attorneys named does on behalf of their clients is extraordinary, and they undoubtedly deserve this recognition.”

Super Lawyers is a rating system created by Thompson Reuters of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators, which include criteria such as verdicts/settlements, experience, honors/awards, special licenses/certifications, and pro bono and community service.

Each year, the prestigious industry accolades are awarded to the top lawyers on a state-by-state basis. “Rising Stars” are lawyers that are 40 years old or younger or have been in practice for 10 years or less.
