Koryn K. Sheppard

Koryn Sheppard is a part of HFM’s Family Law practice and is a Certified Family Law Specialist.

Ms. Sheppard has been practicing family law for over a decade. She is a Certified Family Law Specialist, a designation from the State Bar of California earned by a small percentage of attorneys throughout the state. Ms. Sheppard also received special training to become Minor’s Counsel, allowing her to represent children in family law cases.

In addition, Ms. Sheppard completed the San Diego Family Law College of Trial Advocacy course, a 6-week intensive course designed to train attorneys in advanced trial advocacy. She has held various leadership positions with local bar organizations, written published articles on family law issues, and presented on various topics to family law attorneys. Ms. Sheppard is an adjunct professor for California Civil Procedure, at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and is on the Board of the San Diego Family Law Association.

Throughout her decade of experience, Ms. Sheppard has focused on logical and intellectual solutions while advocating her client’s position.

Ms. Sheppard also has considerable experience handling military divorces.

Ms. Sheppard earned a Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles.
