Specializing in business and commercial litigation, HFM Partner Cory Brown joined the Firm immediately after graduation from Stanford University and UCLA Law School in 1984.
Mr. Brown represents Fortune 100® and 500® companies, including American Airlines®, The Coca-Cola Company®, Standex International®, SC Johnson & Sons®, and RSM McGladrey®, and others. As a born and raised San Diegan, he also represents local individuals and businesses in commercial, real estate, and other disputed matters. He has been the lead trial attorney in numerous cases including cases involving issues of negligence, fraud, spoliation of evidence, banking malfeasance and product liability. He has defended numerous personal injury claims involving both compensatory and punitive damages, as well as cases involving complex business, transactional, and real estate disputes.
Although Mr. Brown has tried and arbitrated hundreds of lawsuits, he believes in the cost-effective and efficient handling of litigation which has resulted in favorable settlements for his clients in all types of litigation. He is admitted to practice in both State and Federal Court and is rated “preeminent” (A-V) in both legal ability and ethics by Martindale-Hubbell.
In 1997, Mr. Brown was inducted into the International Association of Defense Counsel.
