Ross Bautista is an award-winning, business-minded attorney who works as a part of HFM’s Business Litigation practice group.

In his law practice, Mr. Bautista represents clients in business and commercial disputes, as well as matters related to healthcare. Mr. Bautista handles a wide range of legal issues, including fraud, breach of contract, unfair business practices, intellectual property infringement, judgment enforcement, and professional liability.

Mr. Bautista’s skillset and the unique perspective he brings to his practice was shaped by his previous work as a tax consultant with the world’s largest professional services firm, where he served both private and public multinational clients. His experience prior to joining HFM also includes serving as a law clerk at a global law firm, where he worked with more senior attorneys on business and transactional matters.

Mr. Bautista is passionate about supporting diversity efforts in the San Diego legal community, and during law school at the University of San Diego School of Law, he was recognized through awards and scholarships for his academic performance, proficiency in business and corporate law, student leadership, and work to support diversity. He was honored to receive the “University of San Diego Enhancement Award” for his significant contributions to the law school’s community.

He graduated cum laude  with a concentration in business and corporate law from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was admitted to the international legal honor society of Phi Delta Phi for his academic achievements.  He is also a published author, with an article recently printed in the University of San Diego School of Law’s San Diego Law Review.
