Written by:

Higgs Fletcher & Mack, in conjunction with the Thomas Jefferson School of Law (TJSL), will host an ABA roundtable discussion led by Professor Kevin Green from TJSL and HFM attorney Michael Hoisington.  The roundtable, titled “The Copyright Act and Conceptual Separability: Statutory Construction and Clear Meaning,” will be held on Tuesday, May 15th at Noon at the office of Higgs Fletcher & Mack.

The U.S. Supreme Court on May 2, 2016, granted a petition for certiorari in the case of Star Athletica, L.L.C. v. Varsity Brands, Inc. to consider the following question: What is the appropriate test to determine when a feature of the design of a useful article is protectable under Section 101 of the Copyright Act?

Lunch will be provided and one-hour MCLE credit will be given.  To register, contact Dai Norman at Higgs Fletcher & Mack.
