SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – August 21, 2013 – Higgs Fletcher & Mack, a San Diego-based, full-service law firm since 1939, recently hired its latest attorney, Kenneth C. Jones.
Prior to joining Higgs, Jones was a shareholder in the law firm of Sullivan Hill. Jones brings over 27 years of experience in real estate, corporate, finance, employment and business transactional practice to the firm.
“Ken is an impressive attorney with a solid track record of success,” said John Morrell, managing partner at Higgs Fletcher & Mack. “He served as a law clerk here at Higgs back in the ‘80s. It is great to have him come full circle as a partner more than 27 years later.”
Jones has broad experience in all phases of real estate, finance and general business transactions. He represents and advises owners, developers, investors, landlords and tenants in a broad spectrum of real property matters. Jones also represents clients in business planning, entity structuring and formations/terminations; mergers, acquisitions and dispositions of numerous types of businesses and entities. His experience includes advising clients in license, franchise and distributorship arrangements. In addition, he represents employers and executives in workplace consulting, incentive compensation and severance matters.

As an active participant in the community, Jones is a member of the Strategic Trusted Advisors Roundtable (STAR) and the San Diego Commercial Real Estate Group, and is active with the Association for Corporate Growth San Diego and the German American Chamber of Commerce. He recently served on the Housing Committee of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Membership Committee for the San Diego Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). He is a member of the California State Bar’s Real Property and Business Law Sections, and the San Diego County Bar Association’s Real Property and Business & Corporate Law Sections. He is a frequent speaker to business, professional and service groups on a variety of real estate and corporate law topics.
Jones is a 1985 graduate of University of San Diego School of Law and has an undergraduate degree in finance from San Diego State University.
