Higgs Fletcher & Mack Bolsters Immigration Practice with Attorney Mayra Castro

Attorney Mayra Alejandra Castro has joined Higgs Fletcher & Mack as an Associate in the firm’s Immigration & Nationality Law Practice Group.

Castro, who was an intern at the firm in 2017, most recently worked at California Rural Legal Assistance, an organization dedicated to providing services to California’s low-income communities. Her experience also includes working on Special Immigrant Juvenile Cases at Casa Cornelia Law Center. In addition to her internship with Higgs Fletcher & Mack, Castro interned for the American Bar Association’s Immigration Justice Project, and the Immigration Center for Women and Children. She was also a Judicial Law Clerk for the San Diego Superior Court.

Castro is a certified paralegal, and she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, San Diego and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. Castro is fluent in both English and Spanish.
