SAN DIEGO – September 6, 2017 – Higgs Fletcher & Mack, a San Diego-based, full-service law firm, today announced the San Diego Daily Transcript named Managing Partner Steve Cologne as one of San Diego’s Top Influential Leaders for 2017.

Cologne was recognized by The Daily Transcript as a regional leader who has helped drive and influence the region’s growth and prosperity.

Cologne joined Higgs Fletcher & Mack as an executive partner in 1999, and this year assumed the role of managing partner. In addition to his complex tort and business litigation law practice, Cologne is now responsible for firm-wide operations, strategic development and client management.

As an attorney for more than 30 years, Cologne began representing individuals and entities in construction defect and medical professional liability litigation. His practice grew rapidly to become the primary outside litigation counsel for San Diego Unified School District on a variety of claims in State and Federal court, a position he still holds today. Cologne has received the highest rating (A-V) available from Martindale-Hubbell for ethics and legal ability.

Cologne has also been a member of the San Diego County Bar Association throughout his career, both at the committee level and serving as executive editor of the bar’s San Diego Lawyer magazine. Higgs Fletcher & Mack is San Diego’s oldest and largest law firm.
