Higgs Fletcher & Mack (HFM) is proud to announce its new partners, Nicholas D. Brauns, Scott J. Ingold, Rachel R. James, Nicole M. Martinez and Eric D. Tetrault, effective January 1, 2021.

Nicholas D. Brauns has been practicing at HFM since 2011. His practice focuses on complex business and transportation litigation. He represents clients locally and nationally in litigation principally related to catastrophic loss claims, business and commercial disputes, and casualty defense.

Scott J. Ingold is an estate and trust litigation attorney licensed in both California and Nevada. He assists in probate matters and handles all aspects of estate litigation, including pre-filing negotiations and trials. He has litigated matters in state and federal courts, in jury and bench trials, and in binding arbitrations. He has been practicing at HFM since 2015.

Rachel R. James is a family law attorney licensed in California, Arizona, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California and has practiced at HFM since 2011. Her practice focuses on high-asset, high-conflict divorce matters. She is commended by clients for her professionalism, compassion, and understanding of the intricate and emotional issues involved in divorce and other multifaceted family matters.

Nicole M. Martinez is a family law attorney who has practiced in San Diego County as well as Los Angeles County. She  specializes in high conflict, high asset divorce cases. A recognized leader, Martinez is the President of the University of Southern California Law Alumni Association in San Diego and has been with HFM since 2018.

Eric D. Tetrault counsels clients in the planning and structuring of tax, corporate, and real estate transactional matters. His experience includes merger and acquisition transactions, the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate (including purchase and sale transactions, leasing, and financing), joint ventures, tax planning, and a broad range of business matters. He joined the HFM team in 2017.
