Higgs attorney Michael Hoisington will participate as legal panel member for the seventh year at San Diego Music Thing: Your Music and Media Placement, a free series of workshops and panels aimed at working with musicians to inform them about licensing their music in TV, film and other media products.

Hosted by the San Diego Music Foundation, the San Diego Music Thing workshops will be led by a variety of successful industry panelists that will help musicians understand how to legally protect their work. Industry experts will offer their experience and knowledge to bring attendees an overview of basics that all artists should know about music publishing, copyright and licensing.

Michael Hoisington is uniquely qualified to handle entertainment law issues and helps clients in the music, film and television industries with their intellectual property, contracts and general industry counseling. He also helps music equipment manufacturers protect their valuable intellectual property.
