San Diego – May 4, 2018 – Higgs Fletcher & Mack (HFM), one of San Diego’s premier law firms, announced that business bankruptcy attorney, Maggie Schroedter, was elected to the Board of Directors of Lawyers Club of San Diego.
Lawyers Club of San Diego is a specialty bar association and respected organization in the community. Founded in 1972, Lawyers Club’s mission is to advance the status of women in law and society.
“It is an honor to be elected to serve on the Board of Directors of Lawyers Club,” said Schroedter. “I am passionate about Lawyers Club and its mission, and am eager to advocate for issues impacting our members and the legal community at large, including equal pay and inclusivity within law firms and other organizations.”
In addition to her new role, Schroedter is involved in several other organizations in the community. Schroedter serves as President of the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego Taxpayers Association.
At Higgs Fletcher & Mack, Schroedter specializes in commercial litigation matters, specifically pertaining to business disputes, business reorganization and other insolvency matters, including bankruptcy litigation in Chapter 11 and bankruptcy appeals.
Schroedter received her Bachelor of Science in Economics and Dean’s List Honors at Warrington College of Business. She received her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, where she was a member of the Public Interest Law Journal. In 2017 and 2018, Schroedter was named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” a prominent accolade awarded to only 2.5 percent of lawyers in California.
