Robert Lincoln Elected to Earl B. Gilliam Bar Foundation Board
Higgs Fletcher & Mack (HFM) , a San Diego based, full-service law firm, announced that Business Litigation Practice Group associate Robert W. Lincoln, III was elected to the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Foundation Board of Directors for 2019.
The Earl B. Gilliam Bar Foundation (Foundation) is the 501(c)(3) charitable organization of the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association, whose mission is to represent the interests of the African-American legal community in San Diego. The Foundation is dedicated to raising money for the scholarship fund to support law students in their quest to practice law.
“I am pleased to join the Board of Directors of an organization that seeks to diversify San Diego’s legal community by providing opportunities to African-American legal professionals,” said Lincoln. “I want to offer my support to the interests of developing attorneys and help them advance in their legal practices.”
In his legal practice, Lincoln represents businesses and government entities in complex litigation and general liability matters. Prior to joining HFM, Lincoln practiced at Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP.
Lincoln served five years in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, attaining the rank of Captain. As a Judge Advocate, Lincoln served as prosecutor for the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, and subsequently defense counsel, representing soldiers throughout California, Hawaii, and Nevada. In both roles, Lincoln served as lead counsel in more than 30 felony and misdemeanor court martial actions and adverse administrative hearings.
