SAN DIEGO – February 19, 2015 – Higgs Fletcher & Mack, a San Diego-based, full-service law firm for 75 years, announced today that 23 of its attorneys were named 2015 “Super Lawyers” and “Rising Stars.”

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

“It’s an incredible honor that so many of our attorneys have been recognized with this prestigious award. What’s even more impressive is the that it entails lawyers from various practice groups ranging from employment and labor, business litigation, family law to healthcare, real estate and more. It reiterates the quality of professionals we have assisting clients on various legal matters,” said Higgs Fletcher & Mack’s Managing Partner John Morrell. “Last year, 14 attorneys received this recognition so it’s great to see us continuing on this positive trend. It also says a lot about the young talent we have on board and to see them accomplishing so much at the beginning of their career.”

The 22 lawyers cited in the annual listing were recognized for the following practice areas:

2015 Super Lawyers

2015 Rising Stars

Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a patented multiphase selection process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement and selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process except the candidate must be either 40-years-old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list. To learn more, visit
