Greg Pyke is a partner in HFM’s Corporate and Securities Law and Real Estate Law practice groups.
Mr. Pyke is highly experienced in the structuring and operations of businesses in a variety of industries and sectors. His clients include manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, retail and service businesses. He also represents real estate developers and owners, as well as commercial borrowers and lenders.
Additionally, Mr. Pyke is very familiar with high-tech and bio-tech startups, including the venture capital issues they face. He often advises on entity formation, business and real estate matters, and large commercial transactions, including financing. He also has extensive experience representing nonprofit organizations and assisting them in formation, obtaining tax-exempt status, and ongoing management and operations issues.
Mr. Pyke frequently serves as an expert witness providing testimony on business, real estate, and legal ethics issues. He is also a popular speaker on subjects of interest to the real estate, securities, and business sectors. For seven years, he chaired the annual California Continuing Education of the Bar program entitled “Recent Developments in Business Practice.” Serving as Chair of HFM’s Transactional Practice Attorney group, he oversees and monitors the non-litigation specialty areas of the firm: corporate and securities, health care, real estate, tax, estate planning and administration, immigration, and intellectual property law.
Throughout his career, Mr. Pyke has been recognized by various organizations and agencies who rate lawyers as an outstanding attorney. In March 2018, he was again named a top lawyer by San Diego Magazine in the areas of Corporate and Real Estate Transactional Law.
Mr. Pyke has devoted considerable time to various charitable organizations. He has also provided pro bono legal services to charitable organizations, most recently aiding the Ronald McDonald House Charities in connection with the development and construction of a new house on the campus of Children’s Hospital in San Diego.
