Aubrianna Bourgault practices as part of Higgs Fletcher & Mack’s Transportation Practice Group, where she represents clients in a variety of complex litigation matters.

Prior to joining HFM, Ms. Bourgault served as a Deputy District Attorney with the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, where she handled jury trials, preliminary hearings and motion practice.

In addition to her experience with the District Attorney’s Office, Ms. Bourgault served as a Certified Legal Intern with the California Attorney General’s Office, Criminal Division, Writs, Trials and Appeals, where she drafted respondent briefs in felony appeals and presented oral argument before the California Court of Appeal. She also served as a judicial extern for the Hon. John A. Houston, Senior Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, researching civil and criminal matters and assisting with the preparation of judicial orders.

Ms. Bourgault graduated summa cum laude and first in her class from California Western School of Law. During law school, she served as Senior Lead Articles Editor for Law Review, tutored fellow students in criminal law and remedies, and held leadership roles with the Public Interest Law Foundation and Women’s Law Caucus. She received numerous academic honors, including the Distinguished Advocate Award, National Order of Scribes recognition and 13 Academic Excellence Awards. Prior to earning her law degree, Ms. Bourgault earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
