Ms. Houston is a part of HFM’s Trusts & Estates practice.

Prior to becoming licensed to practice law in the state of California, Ms. Houston garnered valuable experience as both an extern and a post-bar law clerk in HFM’s transactional and litigation departments. Her experience includes drafting petitions and motions for probate and employment litigation, and estate planning documents. She also assisted in a trust administration for a $60 million estate. In addition to her experience at HFM, Ms. Houston served as a judicial extern to Judge Anthony J. Battaglia.

During law school, Ms. Houston held various legal internships focused on personal injury law, product liability, intellectual property, privacy, and trusts and estates law.

Ms. Houston graduated summa cum laude from California Western School of Law, where she received the Trustee’s Scholarship, which is awarded to one student each year for academic excellence, legal scholarship, leadership, and service. She also received an academic excellence scholarship and numerous academic excellence awards. Additionally, Ms. Houston served as a senior editor of the California Western Law Review.

Ms. Houston earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business.
