Ms. Tuohy practices as a part of HFM’s Family Law Practice Group.

Prior to becoming licensed in California, Ms. Tuohy served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Joseph N. Laplante of the United States District Court of New Hampshire. In this role she conducted legal research and provided analysis and proposed dispositions for motions and proceedings in both criminal and civil cases. She gained further litigation experience as a student attorney for the New Hampshire Public Defender, assisting in representing criminal clients in all phases of felony and misdemeanor cases.

Before transitioning to a career in the legal profession, Ms. Tuohy spent a decade working in nonprofit management and education. Her volunteer experience includes working with nonprofit organizations including the Make-A-Wish foundation, the Community Food Bank, and at the Eastern Correctional Institution.

Ms. Tuohy earned her law degree from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law in 2023, where she received the Faculty and Staff Scholarship and was a CALI Award recipient. Prior to law school, Ms. Tuohy earned a Bachelor of Arts from Salisbury University and a Master of Arts degree from American University.
