Thanks to our partner Jim Peterson, Immediate Past Chair of Make-A-Wish San Diego, who brought this volunteer opportunity to our attention.  Make-A-Wish San Diego granted 5-year-old Liam’s wish to be a police officer for a day.  HFM staff were among the crowd who gathered to cheer on Officer Liam at a few points during his wish day. The heart of Liam’s wish was to be a police officer and stop a bank robbery; this wish is possible only because of the combined support of the San Diego Police Department, our friends at Bank of America who agreed to have their bank “robbed,” Mayor Faulconer’s office, and the volunteer team!
