Higgs’ Michael Hoisington to Present at San Diego Music Thing
Tomorrow, Higgs’ international property law, international law, and privacy and information security attorney, Michael Hoisington, will participate on the legal panel at San Diego Music Thing, a two-day music and media conference.
Hoisington and several other attorneys in the fields of music, entertainment and the creative arts will discuss the top “Need to Know” points of music law. The free session will cover the basics of copyright, trademark and business law for musicians, and will include updates on the latest legal trends affecting musicians and the music industry.
“This is will be a great discussion for both novice and seasoned professionals. We’ll cover a variety of topics and I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge on trademarks,” said Hoisington. “This is my sixth year presenting. It’s not only a well-attended event that offers great educational sessions, but there’s also a lot of fantastic music to catch.”
Hosted by the San Diego Music Foundation, the organization works to enrich San Diego’s diverse and creative music community through music education for youth, professional development for current and emerging industry professionals, live performances for the San Diego public and recognition for San Diego artists of exceptional merit or service.
