On Saturday, Higgs will help support the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Foundation’s 40th Annual Awards and Scholarship Gala at the Westin Emerald Plaza. As a Gold Sponsor, a $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student on behalf of the firm.

For over 40 years, the foundation has been dedicated to advancing African-Americans in the legal community, promoting diversity in the community and ensuring social justice for all.

The celebration will honor the bold, innovative and selfless community leaders who use their voice for positive social change. More than 250 of San Diego’s top professionals, including judges, attorneys, firms, business owners, community leaders, and law students are expected to attend. The evening will include a night of inspiring speeches, awards, and entertainment.
