Emma Eckenstein is an attorney in HFM’s Trust and Estate Litigation Practice.

Prior to joining the firm as an attorney, Ms. Eckenstein gained valuable experience at HFM as a summer associate, clinical extern, and a post-bar law clerk, working closely with attorneys across the firm’s trusts and estates litigation practice.

In addition to her work at HFM, Ms. Eckenstein held internships with several San Diego law firms, where she gained experience in business law, real estate, and bankruptcy. She also worked as an intern with the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, working in the Victim/Witness Services Division.

Ms. Eckenstein earned her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 2025, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During law school, she was a recipient of the Academic Merit Scholarship, earned an Academic Excellence Award in Business Organizations, and was consistently named to the Dean’s Honor List.

She previously earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois, where she was awarded the Bonita M. Whitlock Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement and Service.
