He is a certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law, as designated by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He has been rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale Hubbell™ – earning the highest possible rating for both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards. His accolades also include being named a Top Attorney in Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust by the San Diego Daily Transcript through a peer-review process in 2012, and he was also recognized as a “Top Lawyer” in San Diego from 2013 to 2018. He was also named a Southern California SuperLawyer® from 2013 to 2016, an honor limited to no more than five percent of attorneys within California.
