New Form I-9, Employment Verification Eligibility, Starts on May 8, 2013
On March 8, 2013, USCIS released a new Form I-9, Employment Verification Eligibility to be used by employers. Effective May 8, 2013, the new form must be used and prior versions are no longer acceptable. The new Form I-9 can be accessed at the following link: Form I-9. The new Form I-9 has a different format and has updated information reflecting changes since the last edition was published. Additional information was provided evidencing that employees from Honduras and Nicaragua that have EAD cards have an automatic extension even if the new EAD card is not yet available.
