HIGGS FLETCHER & MACK LLP LAUNCHES GIG ECONOMY PRACTICE GROUP
SAN DIEGO (December 13, 2023): San Diego-based law firm Higgs Fletcher & Mack (HFM) has launched a new Gig Economy practice group and is already representing gig economy clients in various legal matters.
The new practice group is spearheaded by HFM Partner Nicholas Brauns and is designed to serve a variety of companies that facilitate connections between users and service providers. Attorneys within the practice group help clients navigate the legal complexities related to the gig economy, and their work includes business litigation, civil tort litigation, and employment/independent contractor litigation.
“The modern workplace and service-industry landscape is evolving rapidly,” said Jim Peterson, HFM’s Managing Partner. “The gig economy is at the forefront of a changing work culture, and we are proud to have the understanding and skills necessary to help clients mitigate risk and address issues as they arise.”
In addition to Brauns, the Gig Economy Practice Group is comprised of HFM attorneys from various practice groups, including transportation, labor and employment, immigration and business litigation.
